CIP RC/PT Girder Help

Navigating in a Grid

There are two basic ways to navigate among the cells in a grid:

  • Position the mouse pointer over the desired cell and click the left button on your mouse.

Pressing the SHIFT key on your keyboard while making a mouse selection selects a range of cells.

Pressing the CTRL key on your keyboard while making a selection toggles the selection state of a particular cell.

  • Use the keyboard to revise your selection. Depending on the key you use, using the arrow keys will select the appropriate neighboring cell.

To create a selection range, use the SHIFT key with an arrow key.

Use the TAB key to select the next cell to the right (advancing to the next row if necessary). Using the SHIFT+TAB keys, selects the cell to the left (returning to the end of the previous row if necessary).

Use the HOME key to select the first cell in the active row. Using the CTRL+HOME keys selects the first cell in the first row of the grid.

Using the END key selects the last cell in the active row; use the CTRL+END keys to select the last cell in the last row of the grid.

Use the PAGE UP and PAGE DOWN keys to scroll through the contents of the grid and indirectly change the selected cell.
